Can't think of a better way to end one (jewish) year and start another!!!

The past two weeks have been quite busy for us. We decided a few months ago that as a "thank you" for all the hard work and dedication that my parents put into our wedding weekend that we would all go to Cabo to thank them!!! Dick and Betti (and Maggie) let us borrow their beach house, and we were off to Cabo. We had it planned out mighty well. My parents drove up to Atlanta on Friday, we had to have a layover regardless, so we flew to Phoenix where Nathan met us and then we were all set for Cabo! We had an AMAZING time. We ate out at new restaurants we had not eaten at yet. I even played a few holes of golf (for the first time). Evan is still recuperating from the fact that we tee'd off from the same spot and my first hole was a better shot. Now I am eager to actually learn how to play golf .. left handed. Luckily there was no one around to see, we had the entire property to ourself, except maybe a few sparse people, who came and left as we were there, but all in all it felt like we had the whole place to ourself, and it was SO amazing and SO peaceful. The weather was perfect, much like it was in July. A bit on the warm side, but for the serenity and empty place, it was well worth it!! Tuesday is the day the club is closed, so we walked around town, did a little "local" shopping for a few souveniers for people and then headed back to the house to get ready for our final night in Cabo. I had heard amazing things about the restaurant at El Pedragal, and it did not disappoint, it was absolutely amazing food, atmosphere, and view!!! I have so many pictures, so here are just a few of paradise....

Dinner at Hacienda Sunday night.... it also was absolutely beautiful!!

In front of the sun setting view in the back yard before heading to our last night of dinner!

And some views of the week.....

Some golf time...

Pool Time...

Into town on Tuesday.... armed with pesos to get out of the parking garage!!!

Sunrise Wednesday morning as we were getting ready to leave.... doesn't get any better than this!!! Until we meet again CABO!!!!!!! (that's for Evan) :)

We flew out of Cabo mid day Wednesday, through Phoenix again, into Atlanta, then got in the car (after a luggage fiasco) and drove straight to Birmingham for Rosh Hashana.

HUGE THANKS to David and Carly for watching Bella while we were gone. We knew she was in good hands and had a fabulous time!! It also meant that Bella also got to go to Birmingham. David and Carly were so nice to drive Bella to Birmingham with them, so she was there when we got there (late at night, everyone was already asleep!) It took all I had to not wake Bella up, but we once learned that if she is woken up super late at night after being asleep, she takes several hours to go back to sleep, and we needed our sleep before services in the morning, so we waited until the morning to wake Bella up!

We all had SUCH a fun time with the Siegel's in Birmingham..... Bella LOVED playing with Zoe (The Siegel's lab), although I am pretty sure Zoe would have been much happier getting the house all to herself. Bella got to meet sooooo many Birmingham friends and family and we had such a fun time getting to see everyone!!!

After services, everyone loved playing in the yard with Bella and Zoe!!

Zoe was so sweet to Bella. Zoe is 7 years old and Bella isn't even 7 months old, thankfully Zoe is quite patient. Bella would nip at Zoe and jump up onto Zoe, and all Zoe had to do was show her teeth in a big wide opened smile and Bella would run for her life. Bella acts like a tough cookie but she is still a bit of a scaredy cat puppy deep down inside.

Bella wanted to be everywhere Zoe was ... poor ZoZo

My dad and Bella are like best friends, dad loves playing to the full extent with Bella and Bella usually ends up worn out first.... she may not be a lap dog anymore, but she sometimes still gets treated like one :)

Thank you to the Siegel's for letting us ALL stay at their house, even Bella, we all had such a fun time and can't wait until we all get together again!!! :)

Bye, Aunt Toby, Uncle Bert, and Abby.... see you next time!! :)

David had a flight out of Atlanta early Friday, so Evan, Carly, David, and Bella went back to Atlanta early Friday, and I went back wtih Nathan and my parents later that afternoon! When we got home, we walked into the house to this.....

Daddy and Bella watching football.....

Time to go pack ... tomorrow morning Evan and I are off to Omaha for Yom Kippur, then driving to Lincoln for the Nebraska vs. Ohio State game.... Excited for a fun weekend with the Robinsons!! :)

From Evan, Myself, and Bella, we wish you all a L'Shana Tova!! A Happy and Healthy New Year, filled with much joy and sweetness!!! Here's to even a better year than last!!! XOXO
