So much to catch up on, so I will use my "snow day #2" to do just that....

So I have been AWFUL about keeping up with the blog, but to say the least, things have been QUITE hectic. I also don't want to forget all the things that we have had going on, so I plan on working hard this year to keep up, as we have many many fun things in store!!!
Last year seemed to FLY by, from the second we were engaged every month flew by. Now here we are in 2011 and getting married in a few months -- AHHHHHH!! Still so much to do, but at the same time, so much is now already done. The save the dates are out and about, we have registered for gifts, I just need to confirm bridesmaid dresses and the fun stuff is left. We still need to pick out invitations and finalize many details, but my dress is on order, the venues are selected, the florist knows my favorite colors, the cake baker is selected, and the fun details are to come!! The first half of this year is promised to fly by as well.

Evan and I are going to be an aunt and uncle of FOUR now when we get married!!! So excited for Arnie, Julie, and of course Maggie - we are SO excited and counting down the days until "baby potato" as Maggie calls her arrives!!
We have booked our honey moon .... we will be spending 10 days in ST LUCIA!!!! To say I am so so so so excited is an understatement!!!
Between working, wedding planning, and living life, we are also house hunting - OH MY!
So many wonderful things going on, I sometimes have to stop and tell myself to slow down and smell the roses, as these are the fun times that we will one day want to look back and reminisce about!

We spent Christmas (and a few days around there because I had a few days off left) in Mobile with my parents and brother. We then left Mobile and headed back to Atlanta to pack and leave for Cabo the next morning on my birthday!!! I must say it was a wonderful birthday - I mean how could being in Mexico and 75 degree weather not be wonderful??!! While we had a great deal of fun, I slowly became more and more sick and eventually found myself with a severe sinus and upper respiratory infection and in Mexico where I can't even read the over the counter medicine bottles at the grocery store. Luckily we made it back to Phoenix in time to get an antibiotic going in my system and back to Atlanta the following day to start the new year. Although it would have of course been more enjoyable if I hadn't ended up so sick while in Mexico, we still had a wonderful time with lots of warm weather, beach time, and great meals, as well as a great time spent with Dick and Betti. We always enjoy our time together, and look forward to much more of it over the next few months!!

As I write this, we are trapped at home for the SECOND day in a row. Apparently Atlanta doesn't have the equipment or preparedness to survive a "snow storm". About 5 inches fell VERY QUICKLY on Sunday night. Yesterday the city was a beautiful mess, as it never rose above freezing and the snow quickly turned into a think top coat of ice. This morning while looking out the window it still doesn't seem much better. While it is wonderful to not have to go into work and get to "work from home" - although you can see how much work I am getting done. It also is BORING being "trapped" at home and not able to go out and do anything at all. Besides of course slip and slide down the ice covered sidewalk.
I hope everyone is having a wonderful January so far... I promise to do my best to keep up more often!!
Have a great day!!
xoxo
