All about Bella!!

It's fair to say the past week and a half to two weeks have been ALL about Bella around here. Minus the fact that our furniture finally arrived (YAYYY!) and we are slowly filling in the house that once used to be just one giant empty playground for Bella, she has had it pretty good the last week and a half. Evan and I had been out of town for a few weekends in a row, and even though she is not human, I was still feeling bad for leaving her every weekend, but I think we have made up for it over the past two weeks before heading to Tucson next weekend for Homecoming!!
Evan and I have both been sick in the last two weeks, so not only have we been in town, but have been hunkering down at home more than usual! Bella has found her new place to hang out in the living room, and has been AMAZING around all the new furniture, she still doesnt try to get on the sofa or chairs and just makes herself comfortable on the step to the fireplace...

Last weekend we had a neighborhood party in our cul-de-sac on Friday evening, which was an absolute blast!! The intention was for everyone in our cul-de-sac / on our street to get to know each other, as three new families have moved in / houses sold on our street since we moved in!! We invited other people we knew in the neighborhood too, so we got to meet lots of people we hadnt met yet, and catch up with those we already did! It really was fun - byo-adult beverages and appetizers and all the kids in the neighborhood running around in the cul-de-sac, it was quite a success! Bella even got to come out and play for part of the evening, I am not sure if she enjoyed picking up random scraps of food on the ground or seeing her two best human guy friends (Ethan and Zach) more!!

Saturday Bella got to watch football ALLLLLL DAY with her daddy...

...and Bella even got MAIL!! It was a big weekend for Bella. Cousin Maggie sent her a super cute bucket with her name on it and it was filled with yummy treats for Halloween- it really doesnt get any better than that for her -- Bella LOVED her suprise package - thank you Maggie!! :)

On Sunday, Bella, Evan, and I headed fo our first serious dog park experience. On the way there, Bella learned the true appreciation of a dog, a car ride, and the window down....

Bella and I had gone to a dog park previously, but it was just a wooded forest close to our house that was set up as a dog park, and there was only another lady and her small dog there, and they were leaving as we got there, so we didnt stick around for long - i didnt feel super safe out there by ourselves, and without any other doggies it is just as good as our backyard, so that trip to a dog park didnt count! :) Bella was quickly sought out and highly admired by a male portugese water dog - at least it was a good looking dog, but he had a serious crush on Bella Hello Kitty!

His poor owner spent the entire time they were there knocking his dog away from Bella, and we kept trying to convince Bella to run and play with another dog or group of dogs. However, somehow, this male dog always found his way back to Bella after a few minutes! Our dog is no longer innocent - poor baby - definitely not something we were looking for! Bella had a blast the rest of the time though, running around with the other dogs, and it was absolutely packed!! It was a beautiful day, and this is a newer dog park, and although it is not super close, it is so worth the drive! They have a "doggie bridge" that is the shape of a dog bone to play on, a splash pad, that has a big fire hydrant in the mdidle that sprays water every which way, and even water fountains for dogs!! It was so much fun, and when we got home Bella was totalllllly wiped out!!!

Bella taking a break at the dog park, and scoping out who her next group of friends to run with will be...

This week, Bella even got to go to Yogli Mogli with us. It was a beautiful evening and we figured why leave her at home, so she went for the car ride and sat outside with us while we ate our yogurt... I think its fair to assume she was jealous and was wishing we would go inside and get her some....

Bella has also been working on her soccer/ basketball skills. The verdict is still out on which sport it is exactly, or maybe it is simply "keep away" from mom and dad, but her new "trick" that never gets old,and is always entertaining to watch is if you get her a ball she throws it and kicks it and then chases it, but waits until it totally stops moving and then leaps at it. quite entertaining, and I was able to catch it on video!

And while I am uploading videos - we have to clean Bella's ears out every two weeks, she actually doesnt totally mind it when it is happening, but she usually reacts after both ears are done. Let's just say her little episode lasts long enough for me to get the camera and catch it on video....

That's all for now.... we have another relaxing weekend at home this weekend, followed by a fun week including what I am sure will be a fun first Halloween in the neighborhood, and Evan and I are off to Tucson on Friday for Homecoming!! Excited for a weekend in beautiful Tucson, back to where it all began!! :) And seeing great friends!! XO
